Importing an FDS Source File

The Fenix+ 3 application allows you to import the results from third-party software into the project as a FDS input file. After completing the import, you can resume paused work in the Fenix+ 3 application, conduct simulation, and perform risk assessment for the project.

You can import the contents of the FDS input file only to the previously selected floor of the building.

To import an FDS source data file, follow these steps:

  1. Right-click the name of a desired floor in the project tree and select Import.

  1. In the window that opens, select the FDS source data file and click OK.

The FDS source data file has the .fds extension.

Using the additional Move, Zoom and View all tools you can scale up any plan area for viewing.

  1. To finish the import, click Import.

As a result, the FDS source data file is imported to the selected floor.

If there are any objects located on the selected floor (the floor is not empty), then the imported objects are added to the existing ones.
