Evacuation Simulation
ASET vs RSET Analysis
Fenix+ enables precise ASET vs RSET fire safety analysis, helping engineers compare available and required safe egress times to ensure compliance with performance-based fire safety design. The software streamlines evacuation time calculation by automatically considering fire dynamics, human behavior, and evacuation routes. Beyond calculations, Fenix+ also provides powerful result analysis tools. Engineers can review both numerical values and visual outputs, including:
- Dangerous fire factor distributions
- Evacuation timing for each registering device
- Evacuation flow density maps
With Fenix+, you can instantly compare the evacuation time at each registering device with its blocking time. All results are continuously updated, ensuring access to the most current data for reliable fire risk assessment software workflows
Fire dynamics simulation
Fenix+ 3 provides a powerful fire dynamics software environment based on the Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS), recognized worldwide as the reference tool for indoor fire simulation. The software models the development of a fire in three dimensions, including fire growth modeling, flame spread, and heat release processes.
Key capabilities include:
- Accurate smoke movement modeling within complex buildings and indoor spaces
- Simulation of thermal effects, toxic gases, and reduced visibility during fire scenarios
- Support for architecturally detailed geometries through the built-in editor and IFC import for BIM integration
- Data outputs compatible with performance-based fire safety design workflows
By combining FDS accuracy with an intuitive interface, Fenix+ 3 enables engineers to evaluate how fires develop, how smoke spreads, and how these factors affect evacuation safety in real-world architectural projects.
Fenix+ is not just a pre-proccesor tool for FDS. Before processing the scene with FDS, you can work with real-world objects like walls, doors, and windows in Fenix+.
Fenix+ automatically sets up the scene for FDS. It partitions the area into cells, and adjusts for the presence of multiple calculation areas within the scene.
Objects created in the scene are converted into the format compatible with FDS.
Fenix+ incorporates the majority of FDS capabilities. For details, please see the technical user's manual.
According to the results of 2022, MST company received Boris Stock Awards
MST, represented by Technical Director Evgeny Lyubimov, received the Boris Stock Award in 2022 for a discovered error in the Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS) fire modeling system, which is used in the Fenix+ 3 fire risk calculation program.
Evacuation simulation
Fenix+ is advanced crowd evacuation software that streamlines the evacuation time calculation process. You don’t need to divide a building into artificial zones — the system allows for free, unrestricted people movement simulation in all directions. Simply define obstacles, and the software automatically models how people navigate around them.
This approach follows the Building Information Modeling (BIM) concept, making it possible to analyze evacuation in architecturally complex structures with high accuracy and efficiency.
The model of people movement simulation in Fenix+ incorporates several realistic behavioral aspects:
- People automatically seek the shortest path to an exit
- They navigate around architectural obstacles
- They avoid collisions with one another
- Evacuation routes dynamically prioritize less crowded exits
- Specific exits can be assigned to particular groups
- Custom exit strategies can be defined for individuals or subgroups
Additionally, Fenix+ allows the creation of custom people profiles with unique physical and movement characteristics, enabling tailored evacuation scenarios that reflect diverse real-world populations.
Master Plan
Master plan is a special element of the scenario, which is intended for defining the mutual location of buildings and other objects in relation to each other, as well as in relation to the sides of light.
For example, the tool allows you to determine the heat flow between objects and other types of simulations.
What our clients say
Unique approach to project management
Fenix+ 3 offers versatile project management capabilities for creating and editing fire scenarios.
A scenario includes multiple components: geometry, evacuation, and fire. Combining these components, you can create various scenario configurations.
There's no need to constantly develop a new building model — existing scenarios can be adapted with slight alterations.
