To start evacuation simulation, open the Simulation Control tab, select Evacuation for a desired scenario and click the button.
To start the evacuation simulation of the active scenario, click the simulation start button . If the start button looks like press the down arrow and select the Evacuation simulation option in the menu that opens.
You can run evacuation simulation for multiple scenarios simultaneously.
When conducting an evacuation simulation, the application does not determine the activation time of detectors. Therefore, if detectors are used in the scenario and the evacuation simulation is conducted for the subsequent calculation of fire risk, instead of conducting the evacuation simulation, it is necessary to perform the risk calculation.
Fenix+ 3 application allows to run people evacuation simulation using Fenix Server software package. For more information, see Risk Calculation on Civil Facilities.
To stop evacuation simulation, click the button.
Before starting the simulation, the application checks the scenario for errors that may affect the evacuation simulation. For more information, see Checking a Project for Errors.
If critical errors are detected in the scenario, an error panel is displayed at the bottom of the application window.
If there are critical errors in the scenario, the application cannot conduct evacuation simulation.
To continue working, you must address all critical errors. Only after that the application can conduct evacuation simulation.
The application can also detect non-critical errors in the scenario, so that it is possible to perform evacuation simulation but the simulation results can be incorrect. If such errors are detected in the scenario, a corresponding warning message appears.
You can ignore the warning and try to conduct simulation without addressing errors, or make corrections if necessary, and only then conduct the simulation.
In the Fenix+ 3 application, the evacuation simulation process has the following statuses:
Not calculated — evacuation simulation for the scenario has never been performed, or you have made changes to the scenario so that you need to run evacuation simulation again.
Running — evacuation simulation is currently running for the scenario.
Done — evacuation simulation for the scenario has been successfully conducted.
Error — an error occurred during the evacuation simulation that does not allow to complete the simulation. In this case, it is recommended to contact technical support. Before sending a request to technical support, make sure that there are no warning and error messages in the error panel.
Looping — a person or a group of people cannot choose the direction of the movement so that the application cannot complete simulation. If this error occurs, use recommendations provided in Problems That May Occur During the Evacuation Simulation.
People density exeeds threshold — evacuation simulation is interrupted due to the fact that people remained in the high-density flow for more than 6 min. This status is displayed only when the corresponding option is selected in the evacuation simulation parameters. For details, see Evacuation Simulation Parameters.
When you conduct the evacuation simulation using Fenix Server software package, the following additional statuses are possible:
Sending — the application sends the project to the server.
Verification — the project is verified that restrictions are observed on the server.
In queue — the project is waiting for the server to start simulation.
Archiving — the simulation results are being archived before the server sends them to the local PC.
Download — the archived simulation results are being downloaded to the local PC.
Extracting — simulation results are being extracted from the archive.
You can always visualize evacuation simulation results regardless of their status.
