Use the Window tool to create one or multiple windows in the wall.
You can create a window in a wall that has following shapes: straight wall, polyline, rectangle, circle, and arc. For more details, see Wall.
To place a window in a wall, the height, width, and lower level of the window must be such that the window completely fits within the wall.
To activate the Window tool, click or navigate to Tools | Drawing | Window. You can also use the Alt + I hot key.
You create a window in the same way as the door/ See Door.
You can set up window properties both before and during creating a window on the scene.
The Level parameter determines the distance from the bottom level of the wall, where the window is placed, to the lower edge of the window.
The picture below shows an example of placing the window in the wall. The wall selected for window placing becomes transparent, allowing for precise placement of windows on the drawing if an underlay is used.

For any window in the scenario, you can define the material.

To make air exchange more realictic during the fire dynamics simulation, the application can consider the penetration of air and combustion products through the imperfections of closed windows. To do this, select the desired windows and check the box for the Account for leaks option in the window properties. If necessary, change window characteristics used to consider leaks. For this purpose, in the properties of the window, set the desired characteristic: Leakage area, Window air permeability . Then specify the required value. Results will be displayed in Smokeview application. For more information, see Fire Dynamics Simulation Results.
If a window does not act as a barrier to the spread of dangerous fire factors, it can be disregarded during fire dynamics simulation. For more details, see Ignoring Objects in Fire Dynamics Simulation.
