The Opening tool allows you to cut an opening of any shape in a solid object, floor slab, platform or room.
To cut an opening, do the following:
- Activate the Opening tool using the
button or Alt + Y hot key. - Using the LMB, select the object where you want to cut an opening. The selected object becomes semi-opaque.
- Draw the opening contour, indicating the outline points with the LMB. The outline is highlighted in green.
- Using the RMB, complete the outline. The opening is displayed on the selected object.
If the opening contour divides the object into two unconnected parts, two objects of the corresponding type will be created.
You cannot cut a opening in an object that has nested elements. For example, in a room where people are located, or in a solid object on which a fire source is placed.
