The Line tool allows you to draw lines of any length and width on the scene. You can use this tool in two modes:

  • to draw a straight line;
  • to draw a polyline.

To activate the Line tool, click the {width=05%} button.

To draw a straight line, do the following:

  1. Click the button.
  2. In the Thickness field, specify the desired line thickness.
  3. Choose where you want to draw a line on the scene.
  4. Press the LMB to set the starting point of the line.
  5. Move the mouse pointer in the desired direction and then press the LMB to set the end point of the line.

As a result, a straight line appears on the scene.

To draw a polyline, do the following:

  1. Click the button.
  2. In the Thickness field, specify the desired line thickness.
  3. Choose where you want to draw a line on the scene.
  4. Press the LMB to set the starting point of the first segment of the polyline.
  5. Move the mouse pointer in the desired direction and then press the LMB to set the end point of the first segment.
  6. Repeat the previous step to construct the remaining segments of the polyline.
  7. Press the RMB to complete the polyline construction.

As a result, a polyline appears on the scene.

By combining the Line and Text tools, you can create various callouts and other auxiliary graphics on the scene. To create dimension lines, use the Linear Size} tool.
