Creating a New Project

To create a new project, do the following:

1. Navigate to File | New project or click the button on the control panel. The window for creating a new project opens.

You can also use Ctrl + N hot key.

2. Enter a name and file path of the project.

During the application’s operation, auxiliary files and directories are created (e.g., for modeling results, backdrop files, etc.). Therefore, it is recommended to create a new project in a separate directory. When the checkbox next to the Create a new directory for the project parameter is checked, the application creates a separate directory with the project name in the specified location. The project file and auxiliary files will be stored in this directory.

3. Click Create.

As a result, the application creates a new project. The newly created project becomes the current one.

When creating a new project, the application automatically creates a scenario with one building and one floor.
