Fenix+ is an integrated tool for modeling human evacuation, fire dynamics, and performing various types of fire safety calculations. These include, among others, fire risk assessment, justification of fire separation distances, and more.

Fenix+ consists of the following core components:

  • a graphical interface with a 3D scene editor;
  • an evacuation modeling module;
  • a fire dynamics modeling module;
  • tools for viewing and analyzing evacuation and fire simulation results (both separately and combined);
  • a reporting module for documenting the performed calculations.

For evacuation modeling, Fenix+ implements an individual-flow model of human movement.

A distinctive feature of the implemented model is that it simulates the movement of individual people with personalized characteristics (such as group type, objective, and behavior). The movement parameters of each person (e.g., walking speed) are determined by the surrounding crowd (the human flow), as well as by the type and geometric properties of the path along which the movement occurs.
