Checkpoint – a special object regulating the intensity of people’s movement through the area where it is located.

In the current version of Fenix+, checkpoints are created only automatically at the location of doors, doorways and edges of stairs or ramps.

The intensity of people’s movement through a checkpoint is determined by the group of people passing through it (more precisely, by dependencies of speed and movement intensity on flow density), the maximum allowable intensity of people’s movement through the checkpoint and along the path segment beyond the checkpoint.

If the capacity of the checkpoint or the path segment beyond the checkpoint is insufficient for the incoming flow of people, people will not pass through the checkpoint until the movement intensity through the checkpoint becomes less than the maximum permissible value.
