Test description
The test shows the dependence of the time of movement of people on the number of available exits. The example presents a large room 30 x 20 meters, in which there are 300 Occupants of the contingent “Adult Occupant in winter clothes”. The room has 4 exits in the first case and 2 exits in the second case. The change in the evacuation time of people when the number of exits is reduced by a factor of 2 is determined.
Expected results
It is expected that the evacuation time will be about 2 times longer when the number of doors is reduced by a factor of 2.
Modeling results
The figures show the flow pattern of people movement.
Analyzing the results
The evacuation time for the scenario with 4 exits is 69.0 s and with 2 exits 137.2 s.Thus, the evacuation time differs by a factor of 2.
In addition, the figures show that people choose the exit closest to them.
