Running Simulation With Fenix Server

Reading time

To optimize your workflow and distribute computational load properly, Fenix+ 3 Classic allows to perform evacuation and fire dynamics simulation with Fenix Server.

You can install Fenix Server on any computer in your local network or on a remote server.

To perform evacuation and fire dynamics simulation using Fenix Server, do the following:

  1. Open the Simulation tab.
  2. Select a necessary simulation for a desired scenario and click .
  3. In the dialog box that opens, select the name of the desired Fenix server.

Running Simulation With Fenix Server

As a result, the simulation will start.

To successfully perform evacuation and fire dynamics simulation, you first need to configure connection to Fenix Server. The configured connection should be active (for more information, see Fenix Server Connection Settings).

With Fenix Server, you can perform evacuation and fire dynamics simulation for several scenarios simultaneously.

You can also perform evacuation and fire dynamics simulations with several Fenix Servers simultaneously. In this case, you should configure a separate coonection for each Fenix Server.

To pause simulation, press . You can resume simulation at any time (even after closing and reopening the project).

To resume simulation, press again.

To stop simulation, press .

On the left side of the Simulation tab, there is a list of configured connections to Fenix Server.

For every configured connection the program displays information about the computing resources and the current load.

To get detailed information about all tasks on Fenix Server, click the corresponding connection name.

As a result, the following window will open. In this window you can see the whole history of tasks for the selected Fenix Server and administer tasks that are performed at the moment.

You can use the following control elements to manage tasks on the server:

— to start or resume a task;

— Pause a task;

— Stop a task;

— Move a task up in the queue;

- Move a task down in the queue;

- Delete a task.

When you perform evacuation and fire dynamics simulation with Fenix Server, closing Fenix+ 3 Classic does not cancel or stop the simulation. Simulation will continue to perform regardless of whether Fenix+ 3 Classic is running or not.
